Jawline Filler
Jawline filler adds definition along the jaw and chin for a more structured profile, without surgery.
£300 per treatment area
Overview
Definition along the jaw
A defined jawline frames the face. With age, or simply because of our bone structure, the jawline can look soft or uneven.
Hyaluronic acid filler placed along the jaw and angle of the jaw improves definition and balance. We often look at the chin at the same time, as the two work together.
What it can help with
- A soft or undefined jawline
- Unevenness along the jaw
- Better balance between the jaw and chin

What to expect
Consultation
We talk through your goals, check your medical history and assess the area, then agree a plan and the amount of filler.
Preparation
The skin is cleansed and numbing cream is applied if needed. Most fillers also contain a local anaesthetic.
Treatment
Hyaluronic acid filler is placed with a fine needle or cannula, in small amounts, checking the result as we go.
Review
We check how the area has settled and whether any small adjustment is needed, usually at around 2 to 4 weeks.

Aftercare
After your treatment
- Avoid make-up on the area for 24 hours
- Avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours
- Avoid pressing or massaging the area for the first week
- Avoid saunas, sunbeds, strong sun and extreme cold for 2 weeks
- Cold packs can help with swelling, which usually settles within a week
- Your final result can be assessed after about 4 weeks
Possible side effects and risks
Common and usually short-lived: swelling, bruising, tenderness, redness and pinprick marks. The area may feel firm or slightly uneven for a few weeks while the filler settles.
Less common but serious: infection, an allergic reaction, or filler blocking a blood vessel (vascular occlusion), which needs treatment straight away. Your practitioner will go through these with you at consultation.
Contact us immediately, or seek urgent medical help, if you notice severe or worsening pain, skin that turns pale, blotchy, dusky or blue, any change in your vision, or signs of infection such as heat, spreading redness or fever.
FAQs
Your questions answered
Does it hurt?
Most fillers contain a local anaesthetic and we can use numbing cream, so most people feel only mild pressure or stinging.
Is the filler reversible?
Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed. Your practitioner will explain when this might be used.
