Overview

We believe that the lips are one of the most beautiful and expressive features of the face.

Creating beautiful lips isn't just science, it's an art as well. We take special measurements of the mouth and face called the golden ratio which is used to create your treatment plan.

We look at the height, width and projection of the mouth and see how we can enhance your beauty. We also assess your lips in motion, this includes addressing a gummy smile or a lip that curls in when smiling. We also check for any asymmetries.

Lips are one of the first areas on the face to show ageing. As we age our lips get thinner, they lose hydration and definition.

Dermal fillers are collagen or synthetically made materials used for injection into the dermis to augment and volumise the soft tissues. They are classified on the duration of action or by their composition. For aesthetics, we use products that contain Hyaluronic acid (HA).

Due to their predictable results, excellent biocompatibility, and easy reversibility, HA fillers are considered the safest and most reliable dermal fillers in the British cosmetic industry.

Aftercare

Most people are able to continue with normal activities immediately post-treatment. Some may have redness, pin prick marks, possibly swelling, possibly bruising – particularly in the lips. Any swelling and bruising may be more apparent the next day.

Make-up must not be worn for 24 hours post-treatment.

Avoid alcohol and vigorous exercise for 24 hours post-treatment.

Refrain from placing any pressure on the treatment area for the first-week post-treatment.
Avoid sunbathing, sunbeds, or extremes of heat or cold for 2 weeks post-treatment. These activities have been found to increase and prolong bruising and swelling.
Swelling may worsen in the first 24 hours. Visible swelling should settle within the first-week post-treatment. Cold packs can be helpful in reducing swelling. As a consequence of swelling and internal healing, the product may feel harder or lumpy and you may notice some asymmetry. The final result may be assessed 4 weeks post-treatment.
