How Fotona Works

Fotona combines two clinically proven laser wavelengths:

  • Er:YAG (Erbium YAG, 2940 nm) – Ideal for precise skin resurfacing, gentle peeling, and collagen stimulation. Used for fine lines, wrinkles, texture, and scarring.

  • Nd:YAG (Neodymium YAG, 1064 nm) – Penetrates deeper into the skin to treat vascular concerns, pigmentation, active acne, and tighten deeper tissue through controlled thermal delivery.


By layering these wavelengths, Fotona allows for:

Why Fotona is Superior to CO₂ Lasers

While CO₂ lasers have long been used for skin resurfacing, they come with significant trade-offs — including higher risk, longer recovery times, and greater discomfort. Fotona’s Er:YAG technology achieves similar results with far less trauma to the skin.
